Job Classification: Certified 10-month (190-day contract) 

 

Reports to: School Principal

 

Pay Scale: Certified Salary Schedule

 

Candidate must have or be eligible for certification in Special Education General Curriculum (P-12) issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. Certification in Special Education Adapted Curriculum (P-12) and/or Special Education Core Academic Content areas at the 9th-12th grade level is also desired. 

 

Provide appropriate learning experiences and educational opportunities for special education students. 

 

DESIRED BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

• Prior experience providing specially designed instruction and co-teaching
• Prior experience writing IEP's
• Flexibility
• Advocate for students and maintain a good working relationship with parents
• Prior experience in co-taught settings
