The individual must have or be eligible to hold a Georgia Paraprofessional License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC).
Qualifications: A minimum of two years of college credit OR a high school diploma and a passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional assessment test are required. Experience working with young children is preferred.
Summary: Working under the direction of a certified teacher, provide support services to the classroom, including:
- Prepare instructional materials
- Instruct/supervise students
- Perform clerical tasks
- Experience in a variety of special education settings is preferred, specifically self-contained environments that require assistance with physical needs (feeding, toileting, lifting, and mobility), health care procedures, behavioral management, and support addressing social-emotional needs.
